Augmented Games

The Project

Augmented Games (AG) allows you to step into the world of a videogame where *you* are the controller. An ever-expanding library of games allows people of all demographics to join in on the fun in a larger-than-life interactive playground.

Contribution

My role was centered around the transition of the Augmented Games from a project to a product. With the mandate to bring the games worldwide, I worked on the software ecosystem to build a platform that is stable, easily deployable, and customizable. I worked both on the Unity programming of the core game library, and on the deployment and integration pipeline. I was one of the principal responsible for release management, preparing and testing release builds. I designed a new asset pipeline to allow for the integration of custom skins and brandings, as well as localization. Lastly, I was the lead developer on the "Memory" game, and in a rework of the game launcher which was remade from scratch in Unity.

During my time on the team, we shipped many iterations of the Augmented Games all over the world. We deployed the games in China, Japan, Belgium, the UK, the UAE, the US, as well as right here in Québec. Some were events, while others are long-term multi-venue contracts.

Here is a selection of projects built on the Augmented Games platform during my tenure:
